Tamara Bell
Clinical Counsellor
Hi, I’m Tamara a Clinical Counsellor offering teletherapy to adults across Australia and internationally.
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel safe, and explore the experiences that have shaped you. It’s a space to be met without judgment, where your story is honoured, your strengths are seen, and we work together to support healing, growth, and a deeper sense of self.
I know that reaching out can take courage, especially if it’s your first time. It’s completely natural to feel uncertain or vulnerable as you begin, and that’s okay. As Nelson Mandela so beautifully said, “You can’t have courage without fear.”
Just showing up, just beginning, is already a meaningful step.
My Approach
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the power of safe, attuned relationship.
I work from a humanistic, trauma-informed, and relational framework, which simply means I aim to meet you with authenticity, empathy, and respect. I believe you are the expert of your own world, and that therapy works best when it honours the many layers of your experience: your past, your present, your body, your culture, your relationships, and your hopes.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches depending on what’s needed in the room, including narrative therapy, parts work, attachment-based models, and nervous system regulation strategies. My work is always grounded in trauma-informed principles and shaped by curiosity and collaboration.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in a variety of human service roles, and I’ve supported hundreds of people in private practice. Across every experience, one thing has remained true: the most powerful aspect of therapy is not a technique — it’s the relationship.
My hope is that you feel gently supported to bring your full self into the space, at your own pace, so we can work together toward understanding, healing, and meaningful change.

Where Life and Practice Meet
While I bring clinical training, supervision, and over a decade of experience in the human services sector, I also bring something less visible, my own journey of learning, healing, and becoming. I’ve sat on both sides of the therapy space. I’ve done the work. And I continue to. I have learnt to trust the process.
I meet this work with curiosity, care, and reflection, guided by weekly supervision and a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship. I describe my style as collaborative, gentle, and attuned, drawing from attachment-based and trauma-informed frameworks, with space for both insight and imagination.
Outside of therapy, life is ever-evolving. I live with my husband Sam and our two beautiful dogs, Buddy and Skye. We love a DIY project and travelled around Australia in our self-converted van, and than bus, working and wandering along the way. These days, our adventures look more like restoring a 1950s cottage and rebuilding an old caravan — still slow, still meaningful. You might notice the changing backdrop in our sessions, depending on where I am.
I value presence, connection, and creating spaces, in life and in therapy, that feel safe, honest, and quietly transformative. I glide with change, embrace imperfection, and deeply honour the courage it takes to show up.
An Invitation To Connect.
If this feels like the kind of space you’ve been looking for, I’d love to hear from you.
